Depending on your lizard breed preference, there are many different forms of lizard care: some like it humid, some need room to run, others like it cold and dark. It also depends on what kind of lizard owner you happen to be--hands on or hands off--that will determine what kind of lizard you should consider purchasing in the first place. You will probably need to buy extra items for proper care of your lizard: hot rocks, water mister, some sort of aquarium or reptile tank, and undoubtedly you'll need lizard food. Remember, when purchasing a lizard or any other pet, ask the people at the shelter or pet store exactly what your new pet will require. A good pet shop will provide you with a detailed list of things you'll need for your pet, along with care instructions.
