Who doesn't want their home or flat to smell nice? Not only do home fragrances cover up little unpleasant smells, but they can also enhance the already pleasant scents pre-existing in your home. Many of the fragrances come in fun and attractive votives or containers, like incense burners  and oil warmers.  Many of the more nice-looking containers for the scents add to the décor of the room as well, not simply to the aroma.  They can contribute to a home's vibe, cover up slight pet odours,  brighten a room, or add that certain something that makes it feel more homey. It's really up to you to pick what works with your décor, and your lifestyle. The best part is, you get to choose different scents whenever the mood strikes, so have fun with it. 

Scented Candles

Scented candles are a fun and pretty way to change not only the scent, but also the aura and feel to your home. On a nice rainy day, a few candles can make the gloom more romantic and less depressing. At night, their flickering glow will brighten a dark room, and they even go great with bath time. Scented candles are available in a myriad of scents, as well as ingredients. The soy candle  is very popular right now, the beeswax candle  is a classic, there are handmade wax candles,  or you can even buy yourself a candle making kit  for illumination and fun gifts. Candles have a lighter scent than other scent dispensing product, but that might be just right if you have a smaller flat or a sensitive nose. 

Incense

Incense fills a room with intoxicating smoky scents, and not only looks beautiful, but smells amazing. Incense is available in coils,  cones,  solid stick,  or cored sticks ; it works well with the earthier scents like sandalwood, or patchouli, but smells light and airy in floral or combination scents. Incense also comes with the added bonus of getting to pick out an incense holder,  or incense burner,  which is the decorative piece that holds the incense while it burns. Holders come in different styles and sizes, depending on the type of incense you fancy. Many are wood, but quite a few more elaborate ones are metal, glass, rock, ceramics, or some other form. One popular style is made out of wine bottles. Both the fragrance and its container should add to a room and inspire relaxation. 

Oils

Fragrance oils  are another way to change the scent and feeling of a room, because you can choose which scent is your favourite, and then add it to a lamp ring,  or fragrance oil burners,  or even a room diffuser,  all of which work differently to heat the scented oils to the point where they are released into the room. A lamp ring allows you to add oil, or in some cases, oil mixed with water, and pour it into a ring shaped trough that fits onto the top of a light bulb; therefore, a light you were already using disperses the scent for you. Fragrance oil burners come in many shapes, formats and materials, and are generally very attractive, adding to the room. The most popular are glass and metal, or ceramic, and many fit over a small candle or tea light. A room diffuser can come in a lot of different forms: some plug into the wall like a plug-in, some plug in so that the oil and water mixture is heated to vapour, and some are free standing vessels that allow the air around them to wick the oil into the air. 

Reed Diffusers

Reed diffusers  are very popular lately, and its because of how easy and pretty they are. The scented oil comes in a decorative bottle, and reeds are placed inside to act as wicks, and the oil is then into the air. Not only are reed diffusers attractive, but they also last a long time with the same bottle. You also have a lot of options, not only with scents and brands, but many have different bottles available, and some even let you use the same bottle again with fresh reeds and a new scent.
