Slow speed handling is very predictable and groovy. With the nose held up, it will mush along. When it does stall, the nose will fall, and will tip slightly off one side or other, but will not spin unless provoked. The stall is gentle and is self-correcting at the specified forward balance point. The Dragon Lady 40 does not seem to be bothered by high speed either. While it is not a racer or pattern plane, several fast and low passes have been made without any uncomfortable feeling.

This plane makes and excellent first low wing plane or first tail dragger. It is not difficult to handle and is capable of some fairly impressive maneuvers. Being stable in the wind, it is a great Sunday flier or knock-around plane. Classic looks and clean lines make this kit a winner. I do not hesitate to recommend it to anyone except a beginner.
