Action Figures Buying Guide
Since the 1960s, action figures
have been modelled off cartoons,
comics
and movies.
They have sparked a phenomenon in collecting and maintaining these little icons of the adventure world. Action figures can be valuable investments, as long as you take care of them properly. A few simple things to remember when storing your purchases:
- Take batteries
out when not using. Battery acid can leak and ruin figures.
- Try not to handle the figures too much if you intend to keep them preserved, as oil from your fingers can discolour them and cause spots.
- Avoid storing your collectibles in direct sunlight. Not only will this cause colour to fade, but it can cause figures to crack as well.
- Humidity can also affect your action figures by rotting and corroding them.
- Sealed containers or display cases
are useful for keeping your action figures safe from the elements.
