Bronzers Buying Guide

Everyone loves a good sun-kissed glow, but it's not always easy to obtain.  Sure you could sit in the sun  for hours on end, but that is never a healthy option.  Or you could apply some self-tanner , but then you have to worry about streaks and orange skin.  Why not make it easier on yourself and just pick up a good bronzer ?  Bronzers will give you a tanned look while also hiding the flaws of your skin.

Types of Bronzers

Bronzers have an ingredient called DHA, which is responsible for the glow as well as the tanned colour of the skin.  There are two major types of bronzers to choose from.

Cream Bronzers

These are ideal for any skin type, and are also well-suited for drier skin.

Application Tips

  • Select a bronzer that is only one to two shades darker than your natural skin tone!
  • Avoid very dark shades; they will not look natural.
  • Apply bronzer in the areas that are frequently hit by the sun's rays--cheekbones, forehead, chin, etc.
  • When using bronzer, apply less foundation.  You won't want to look too done up.
  • Always make sure that your bronzer has blended well with your other makeup.
