Staying cool isn't all about the air conditioners, 
it's also about your basic fans. Fans can go anywhere, and unless you have a portable air conditioner, then taking it out of the window would be a bad idea. Fans are moveable, have different positions, and you can bring them with you to work or on holiday if you want to. There are some very basic types of electric fans, and then there are the more expensive brands; it really depends on what you need from your fan, and how much you are willing to spend.

- Often quite powerful.

- Clips on to almost anything.
- Generally not very powerful.
- Sometimes works with batteries.

- Different speed settings.
- Available in different colours and price ranges.
