If you are redecorating, refurbishing, redistributing, or you have just bought a plot and have not even started laying down the brick, then my friends you have come to the right place. This home journey is not going to be nearly as hard as you think--unless you are one of those people in the barren plot category; I will not lie to you, you have your work cut out. 

Furnishings and Décor

Home furnishing is like layering a cake: you start with a base and then build up from there--when the base is finished you decorate with frosting. Before hitting the Furnishings and Decor Guide, take a gander at the furniture and choose the bases of your room(s); this way you will have something on which to lay your accents--or frosting if you will. Makes sense right? Thank you food analogies... Before you begin, keep in mind that every room needs a focal point, so plan the room around an eye capturing piece such as a unique coffee table  or a lamp. Once you have established what the focus will be, things will start to fall into place. Now you can move on to linens, accessories, and even special aromas.

Appliances and Home Maintenance

After the house is decorated and every item is snug in its cosy, you may think "it is finally time to pull out the happy dance, I never have to work again!"  Wrong. Home upkeep is a constant part of your life, a process, and if you neglect to maintain your dwelling, then it will be in much worse shape than if you never did anything at all. Home maintenance can be either an enjoyable task for you, or an enjoyable scene for your enemies. This all depends on how easy you want to make things for yourself, what appliances and/or machines  you have, and how often you decide to tidy around the house. Accessories/Utensils

Accents are the things that really bring out the theme of a room. Not sure what your theme is going to be? or how to create a theme? Luxury and Entertainment

The look of a home is certainly important, but that is just fluff. What a home needs more than anything is substance. This is where the entertainment and home audio systems come in, the home theatres, the hot tubs, and the rub-a-dub-dub--if you know what I mean. It all depends on your tastes and priorities; you may value the convenience of a home gym or office while your neighbours may need to make things kid friendly--or kid proof. And the couple down the road may need to have it all. Think that's greedy? Maybe so, but they deserve to have all the amenities of a comfortable lifestyle--and so do you. Home luxuries--or extras--can make all the difference when it comes to comfort. Choose what is important to you and your family, and what will encourage the most joy in your home.

Home Improvement

In order to keep your home in tip top shape, you may need to do some teeny odd jobs here and there. If you are someone who loves to work with your hands, then great! Maybe you can set up a workshop and take on all kinds of little projects to improve the home. If this--or anything related to this--does not sound appealing to you, you are certainly not alone. However, it is still a good idea to keep at least some tools around the house--just in case an appliance needs on-the-spot surgery. Garden Needs

Our outdoor properties are components that we often overlook or put aside for last minute decorating, but these "rooms" definitely deserve more than an afterthought. A garden can really bring light to a home, and decorating one requires the same considerations as decorating indoors. Things such as outdoor furniture, garden grooming, and garden accents take care of the overall look of your garden, while BBQs and outdoor cookers will provide the heat for the warm weather feasts. When it comes to outdoor entertaining or just relaxing in your garden, things such as swimming, trampoline jumping, and outdoor play equipment will keep everyone occupied and happy.
